The ‘Carey’ family name is a well-known and respected household name in the Southern Downs and surrounds when it comes to the meat industry. From a long line of reputable butchering family, W. Carey & Sons Quality Meats, is no exception from this well respected history stretching back 75 years. Carey Bros was established in 1944 by my Grandfather, John Carey, and his twin brother in the small town of Yangan, QLD. Valuing hard work and honesty, they passed down the secrets of traditional butchering to my father, Darrell Carey and his generation which lives on today through my family.
W. Carey & Sons Quality Meats, is a local family business led by me, Wayne Carey, my wife Natalie and our 2 sons, Joseph and Thomas. We are supported by an outstanding team of qualified butchers and apprentices, all with a vision to deliver quality products and exceptional service. From our founders to now, we hand select our quality beef, lamb, pork and poultry from our local region, the Darling Downs and surrounds. Priding ourselves on offering nothing but the finest quality meats we have to offer. We continue to use traditional methods, passed on from Generation to Generation, delivering consistent high Quality meats and small goods.
